About Performance:

“Endgame“ (1957) is a famous play by Samuel Beckett about the main caracters Hamm and Clov (or master and servant). From eternity to eternity they ask themselves why they have to stick togehter although they are trying to get rid of each other. In an eternal dependance they have to conclude: „We try again, we fail again, we fail better“. The performance in the direction of Kay Voges is a very physical interpretation of the play by using loops and a special arrangement of different sounds which „bore into“ the spectators bodies.

“In the studio of the Schauspiel Dortmund, Samuel Beckett’s one-act play “Endgame” really gets under your skin – and into your ears. It is no exaggeration to say: It is just simply genius what these two actors do on stage.“
