SEPTEMBER 23 - GETTING 'BUSINESS READY' FOR INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE

Getting 'Business Ready' for International Exchange

International dialogue, mobility and collaboration are key components in the development of a vibrant and innovative performing arts sector, but theatre and dance-makers with ambitions to work away from home also face an increasingly complex range of challenges - from finding viable markets to considerations of environmental impact. Andrew Jones will lead a discussion that aims to demystify the world of cultural export and some of the sociopolitical factors driving it; explores how strategic decision-making at every stage in the production process can help to maximize a work's international potential; offers insights into international networks and relationship-building; and helps practitioners to communicate clearly about their work to potential buyers.
